The M93 Fox is used by the U.S. Army and Marine Corps. The M93 Fox was originally developed in Germany (as the Fuchs) for use by the German military. The U.S. requirement for the Fox system was generated in the late 1980s in response to a perceived need to quickly field a chemical reconnaissance vehicle to U.S. forces in Europe.
